Vision and Strategy: Weaving EHS Into the Fabric of Wyeth
Vice President's Message
I am pleased to introduce Wyeth's Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) section. These updated Web pages for 2006 chronicle Wyeth's continued efforts and successes toward integrating EHS into all aspects of our operations. EHS continues to be a cornerstone of the company’s overall corporate citizenship efforts.
Throughout this section, you will find examples of successful projects carried out by facility teams, corporate and division staff members, and collaborative cross-functional groups. It is this ongoing cooperation that has helped us identify opportunities for managing EHS performance as an increasingly integral part of our business rather than as a compliance-driven activity set apart from day-to-day strategic business planning.
Our 2006 EHS section highlights Wyeth's EHS progress and achievements. One of our most notable achievements is the improvement in our workplace safety performance. In 2005, our lost time incident rate worldwide was our lowest rate ever recorded, clearly demonstrating that we can achieve a common goal when we harness our collective energies and ideas.
Our management approach links directly to the Wyeth Corporate Values of quality, integrity, respect for people, leadership, and collaboration. In this section, you will find descriptive case studies illustrating how EHS supports these values and how EHS is woven into the fabric of Wyeth.
